Hello Everyone,
Wow, two post in two days. I must be on a roll. We had so much fun yesterday with our Christmas in July sale including the incredible Show and Tells you guys brought in. I for one just wanted to go home and sew!
We decided to extend the sale through the weekend. Hey, it's Christmas in July. Why not? Fun is being had by all!
Oh the weather outside is frightful (HOT) , but inside is so delightful (Central Air). You know that I love it so......let me sew, let me sew, let me sew.
Till next time,

Christmas in July
Hello Everyone,
Boy oh boy has it been hot or what? Stick a fork in me I'm done! If you get our emails then you know this is the inspiration behind our Christmas in July sale. We have nine New Christmas lines in and we unveiled them this morning . Yep, we had a cover over them. No sneaky peeks! :-) We also have two more lines still coming this month. One is a beautiful flannel line and it is lushes. Another is a Christmas Batik line and boy is it pretty. Leesa and I just couldn't resist when we saw it. It is new and fun and fresh. What's not to love.
This is Moda's New Christmas line. It has Snowman Heads and Stars and , well come and see. Super cute and Country and Primitive. As you can see, Dark blue and tan and beige. First customer in the door this morning asked if we had any Moda Christmas. I showed her and Yep, she took her share home with her , she added a touch of red as well. I can hardly wait for that show and tell.
How cute are these Santas? We do have a quilt on it's way to completion using this line and yes we will have kits available when the quilt arrives back from the quilter!
This is a Twelve Days of Christmas Panel. The entire line is fun and bright and oh so Christmasy. I am totally making a little something out of this line. And yes, there will be kits when it is done. I will let you all know when all the kits are ready.
We have a nice line of Christmas miniatures. The detail is really nice on these. There is a quilt book showing right above the line on the table. OK so I am no photographer, Leesa has so gotta teach me the art of achieving a great picture. Anyway, this fabric line is perfect for that quilt . Come judge for yourselves. Oh and while the cat is out of the bag....I kinda stink at spelling as well. Ohhhh so grateful for spell check!
I had a friend tell me she had had a difficult time finding candy cane fabric this year. Well how cute is this line? And in a row no less!
This is an Angel Advent calender and she is precious. We in stock these battery operated lights and you can insert them into the panel so that it lights up.
This is another advent calender and the entire line is adorable.
This line has built in bling! There is a Christmas Tree in Red or you could choose the Green color way. This line is from Northcott and it is the Stonehenge Christmas Collection. This line is what the battery operated lights were meant for. Oh so Sparkly!
Ok, I just had to share. Dan brought this quilt in today and it is so darn cute. Picture above, and this is the fabric line. Yes, this line is on sale today only. It is a Batik and it is 20% off. Oh my gosh, is that fireworks of excitement I see and hear? You would think it was the 4th of July, Oh yea, it is the 4th of July. Well Happy 4th of July Everyone!
Till next time,

Hello Everyone,
Ok I know, I normally wouldn't be here visiting with you just yet. But I can't help it, I just couldn't wait until next week to share this with you. Some of you just might wish you had this this weekend for some nifty project you have in mind, I do!
It's Burlap! Oh my gosh, Burlap is every where. It is being used in almost everything, Bags, Pillows, Flowers, Weddings, Banners you name it. I saw wedding invitation envelopes made in Burlap. So fun and super cute. Kinda gets your brain racing doesn't it! Can't you just see it pared with Pink or even some of our fun Greys? Add some buttons and trims. Wrapped around guest towels, how about framing some under glass and using a grease pen and making it a memo board. How fun to just cover a bulletin board with it. Can you tell I have been mulling this over for a while?
We ordered this weeks and weeks ago and it finally arrived today. As soon as I opened it, I just had to share the excitement that it had arrived. Wahoo!!!!!!
So come on over and get some. Your gonna love it! Ohhhh and I wanna see what you made with it.
Till next time,
Thimbleina

Hello Everyone,
So much has gone on around here since we last visited. Time to grab a snack or a cool drink and lets visit for a while.
Well first and foremost, Shop Hop has just ended. We worked hard to replace nearly every quilt in the store with a new one. So if perchance you didn't make it in, come see. Whew.......boy oh boy did we have a good time! It was so great to see so many of you as you came in and we got to touch base a bit. Awesome! Everyone was so fun to work with and the show and tells are always welcome. Weren't this years Shop Hop pins cute? Kinda makes me excited in advance for next years pin. Oh yea, I am totally starting a collection.
The trunk show down stairs was so inspiring and it was so great to have the Designer here "Krisanne Watkins" to visit with and tap into her inspiration . As well as Jen Hinwood who has taught the landscape quilt class, was also available for sign ups on her Art Quilt Class, as well as to answer questions. We still have "Oh My Bloomin' Threads" trunk show here. The Trails Out West quilt is amazing. Her "Ronene Wilkinson" Halloween Quilts are so darn cute, I just want to make them all!
Also, we still have a trunk show from Adorn It. Crazy Cute stuff.

Not to be out done...but there were a couple of cuties doing long arm quilting as well. How fun is that? A mother daughter team, now that's the best!
We had Rebus's posted throughout the store. Did you figure them all out? A few had me scratching my head for sure.
Those of you that played Trader's Dice (by the sound of the laughter) had waaaaay to much fun! I heard terms like Vegas and what happens at this table stays at this table! It was clear you all enjoyed your dealers "Dan, Heidy and Lea Dawn". Well under the circumstances, possibly I should keep their names under wraps. For future reference we will go with "Fred, Wilma and Betty". For their sakes I won't divulge who was who.:-)
In the middle of all this we had more fabric arrive. So you know that we will be having Christmas in July before we know it. Those of you that bought the Ultimate Marking Pencil, I hope you are enjoying it as much as I do. Did I just hear some of you say you forgot to pick one up? No worries, we have more. Come get one, you will love it! I heard a couple of ladies that bought the Traders Dice game were going to play it with their grand kids using candy, now that can only be a wild and crazy time. Here I was only thinking of Quilt Guilds wanting it for their Guild meetings. See how smart you guys are, you think outside of the box. Smart Cookies. I think we have maybe 8 of those left if you would like one come see us. I think it would be great fun at a reunion, OK so now my mind is thinking up all kinds of fun ways to play this game. Lets recalculate we have maybe 7 left (heee heee, I need one.) If you need a reminder on how the game is played....just ask for Fred, Wilma or Betty! They would be super happy to remind you.
Just a little reminder that Friday is Open Sew and that is always a good time!

Hello Everyone,
I hope all is going well for all of you. If perchance you haven't been out side today, you just have to do it! Ok, so right now zip outside and take a deep breath and suck in all that fresh air. I'll wait right here for you..........."Toe tapping as I wait"...........In the summer time when the weather is fine you can......Ah Haw. See what I meant. Aren't you just glad I made you, nudged you, pushed you out side. It's just one of those days you don't want to miss. Oh yea, I am soooo your friend. Plus I waited for you. Cuz that's just what I do. :)
Oh, Watson Laboratories drew the name of the winner of the quilt. Remember we took donations for Primary Children's Hospital and you got a ticket and they drew from those tickets. Well, drum roll please......Jonna Crump was the winner! Ta Da. Plus she got her ticket right here at Thimbles and Threads. That cute quilt helped raise over $3000.00. Isn't that great? Wanna see her Picture? Okey Dokey.
She was so excited. She said she never wins anything. Well not any more because she was a winner, winner, winner! Super congrats to her. Snaps.
We just got in another new fabric line today and it is adorable. Black, white, yellow, grey and cute all over. Here is a peek.
This is a sampling. There are 17 bolts in this line so plenty to choose from. As you can see there is more on the right around the corner. I have gotta find some where nifty to display this. Cuz it's screaming cute! Ahhhhhhhhh I need some. Work with me here....so do you!
Next week we will be going to Quilt Market in Portland. Yippie, I am looking forward to this and finding treasures to bring back and share with all of you. New patterns and notions and fabric and well you know. Just more fun stuff to share.
FYI Thimbles and Threads has some great ideas for Mother's Day. So come on in.
Till next time. Oh and I will have all kinds of nifty stuff to share about Quilt Market. Oh golly, Shop Hop is just around the corner and Leesa and I have been putting together our Wall Hanging and think-in it will be a must have, plus you will get the pattern for free at Shop Hop. Bonus!
